FRIEND - £10 a month

Keep up to date, find out so much more about The Prince Consort and help support the group’s ongoing work, as a Friend. In return for your support, you will receive:

  • a twice-yearly dedicated mailing from the group with all their news and details of future plans and performances 
  • exclusive video footage from backstage including recordings of songs not featured in the group’s concerts and interviews with the artists, sent direct to your inbox
  • the opportunity to meet the players backstage when they perform at the Wigmore Hall in its world-famous Green Room
  • grateful acknowledgement of your support on the group’s website


BENEFACTOR - £20 a month

As a Benefactor, you can enjoy all the benefits of Friends and make a greater contribution to the life of the group. In return for your additional support, you can also enjoy:

  • the opportunity to see the group at work behind-the-scenes by attending a concert-day rehearsal
  • a complimentary programme signed by all the artists at a major concert
  • a complimentary drink with the artists following a major concert


PATRON - minimum donation over £1000

Join The Prince Consort’s inner circle of supporters and you will not only receive all the benefits of Benefactors and Friends but you can enjoy a close relationship with the group and put your name to a one of the following aspects of its work that you particularly admire. Patrons also have the opportunity to attend an occasional private drinks reception where you can spend time with the artists and see them making music up close. 



The Prince Consort aims to make every concert a special event that the audience will cherish. The group can make it an additionally special occasion for you, dedicating a future performance to you, a family member or friend, with an acknowledgement in the programme and an expression of thanks by the artists from the stage.



One of the group’s great accomplishments is its exceptional recordings, each of which have drawn critical acclaim and featured on national radio. Their recent discs On An Echoing Road and Other Love Songs were selected as Editor’s Choice in Gramophone and Classic FM Magazine respectively.

Donate towards the group’s upcoming CD projects and, in return, your name will be credited for posterity in the CD inlay. The Prince Consort will also give you five complimentary copies of the recording ahead of its public release, and the opportunity to buy any more you like at a very special trade price.



As well as captivating traditional concert audiences, the young artists of The Prince Consort are dedicated to giving many others their first taste of classical music. In a range of specially-tailored workshops, the musicians meet and make music with children and students. The group is also committed to making films and fresh online content to share the worth of classical music with a wider audience. 

If you support this mission, your name will be prominently acknowledged as a Benefactor and you can see the value of your investment first-hand as a guest of the group’s Director at an education event.



Whilst renowned for its accounts of classic works, The Prince Consort is also dedicated to enhancing the repertory, commissioning new pieces by eminent composers and giving outstanding young composers the opportunity to write for a high-profile group. In recent years, the group has commissioned exhilarating and uplifting new works by Ned Rorem, Stephen Hough, Gwilym Simcock and Cheryl Frances-Hoad.
